The staff of Firelands Eyecare Center is committed to giving the finest care to our patients from the initial phone contact to the final dispensing of eyewear. Our staff is well trained in helping patients make the best choices in eyewear based on their vision needs as well as lifestyle needs. From teaching a first time contact lens wearer, to helping patients choose eyeglass lenses based on lifestyle, our staff brings optical skills as well as compassion and understanding to the care of our patients. Our knowledgeable and personable staff will work with you to not only help you understand your vision insurance but understand your eye care needs. Our staff is experienced and highly trained in frame selection, frame adjustments, lens selection, sports/specialty/safety wear, insurance and billing. We strive to provide you with the best personalized care.


Janna has intermittently been part of Firelands Eyecare Center for nearly twenty five years, returning after moves and family additions. She is a South Central graduate and attended college. She currently lives in Greenwich with her husband, Eric, and their three children, Kevin, Samantha, and Caleb. She stays busy with home schooling and church activities. Knowledgeable in all areas of the practice, she helps patients with frame styling, repairs, and pre-testing procedures.


Emily has been with Firelands Eyecare Center for over 14 years and has many years of experience with frame selection and is knowledgeable in helping patients choose the best lens options. She also frequently does pretesting for the doctors. Emily is a graduate of Ohio Business College and resides in Willard with her high school sweetheart Josh, and their children, Rex, Elsie, and Bo. In her spare time, she enjoys antiquing and landscaping. Her artistic creativity is easy to spot in our office decor.


Ivy has been a valuable part of Firelands Eyecare Center for 12 years.  She is the office billing specialist, responsible for knowing the myriad of insurance plans our office accepts.  She also is skilled in frame styling and repairs.  Ivy is a Norwalk High school graduate and attended BGSU.  Living in Norwalk, she and her husband, Wade, are busy parents of three children, Parker, Wyatt, and Max.


Mandy has been with Firelands Eyecare Center for 11 years.  She has abundant experience with Medicare billing. Also, she is a contact lens tech, responsible for our large inventory of varied types of contacts and a valuable trainer for new contact lens patients. A BGSU graduate, she is experienced in all areas of the practice   Living in Norwalk with her long term boyfriend, Drogan, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family and traveling to the beach.


Alle has worked in the practice for 4 years and is a licensed optician.  She is our resource for lens design and is an asset in finding the perfect frame and lenses for specific prescriptions.  She is a graduate of BGSU  and is our main lab liaison, making sure  patients glasses  arrive correctly and quickly. In addition to her optical skills, she is a talented photographer. Alle and her husband, Josh, live in Norwalk with their three children, Lane, Brylee, and Eli.


Bridget joined our team at Firelands Eyecare Center approximately one year ago. A St. Paul graduate, she brings previous medical experience and does a great job handling our front office, as well as assisting Dr. Maul with pretesting. Bridget and her husband, Adam, live in Norwalk and enjoy camping.


Nicole joined our staff in March 2019. She is quickly learning her way around the office, with interacting with patients at the front desk, pre-testing, and frame styling. She lived in Columbus while earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Columbus College of Art and Design. Now living in Norwalk with her husband Heath and two girls Kendall and Ava. She is passionate about fitness and teaches kickboxing, two nights a week. Summertime is her favorite time of year, with gardening and time at her pool.


Janie is a high school student who is currently attending BGSU Firelands and plans to graduate with an associates in science. After graduation, she plans to get her bachelors degree and attend optometry school. She enjoys crotchet, doing puzzles and reading. Janie loves being in the office because she gets to help translate for some patients and she simply loves working there.
